Our orchard is located near the Bandai Atami hot springs, on a plateau that the locals call Ue no Yama. Asian pear cultivation began in the Atami district about 1887, and in our orchard there are Nijisseiki Asian pear trees around 100 years old that still bear fruit.
We tend for our gardens using traditional techniques, but are constantly trying new methods of cultivation in pursuit of future possibilities.
Our FGAP certification provides the GAP standard for the process from cultivation to sorting, and has raised awareness about safety, assurance, and environmental conservation. We aim to produce fruit that is not only is delicious, but is perfectly safe.
