Fukushima Prefecture promoted GAP at the Fukushima Festival In Koriyama, which was held at Aeon Koriyama Festa shopping center. Customers were offered seasonal GAP-certified produce (cucumbers and apples) to taste, and learned about GAP through raffles and quizzes.
On October 26, a staff member in a Kibitan (the Fukushima mascot) suit presented an easy-to-understand quiz from the stage to teach onlookers about GAP, and on October 27, students from Adachihigashi Prefectural High School promoted GAP by selling GAP-certified spring onions.
