Fukushima Prefecture had Fukushima GAP Challenge booths at the Fukushima Pride Seasonal Agricultural and Marine Product Food Expo – Food Tasting and Business Discussions that was held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Royal Park Hotel in Tokyo.

The purpose of the event was to expand sales routes and secure commercial distribution for agricultural and marine products from Fukushima Prefecture, and 456 buyers from distributors and retailers visited the booths, viewing and tasting products and talking with personnel from the 44 enterprises involved.

The Fukushima Gap Challenge booth exhibited GAP-certified produce from the prefecture, explained efforts made by the prefecture to supply food for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics/Paralympics and promote GAP certification, and asked visitors to leave messages for GAP-certified producers within the prefecture. Approximately 150 people visited the booth and it was a great opportunity for them to be able to see the GAP-certified to be able to see for themselves the GAP-certified agricultural and marine products that are available from the prefecture.

(certification granted to JR Tomatoland Iwaki Farm Co., Ltd., Tomatolandiwaki Co.,Ltd.), OFs-Link Co., Ltd., Sutou Nousan LLC., Kansha Farm Hirai Co., Ltd., Kinouchi Farm Co., Ltd., Miine Primal Co., Ltd., Miharu IC Blueberry Farm, Tamura City Tokiwa Buckwheat Production and Milling Society, JA Zen-Noh Fukushima (certification granted to JA Fukushima Sakura, Tamura Tomato Section GAP Group).
